4 cup cold-pressed extra virgin olive oil
2 tablespoon crushed red pepper
2 teaspoon dried rosemary
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 teaspoon parsley flakes
1 teaspoon granulated garlic
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Directions
- Put all spices in a medium saucepan, add oil and heat over a low heat for several hours to allow all flavors to infuse the oil, leave covered. I recommend keeping it warm for up to ten hours, stirring every so often then shut off the heat. The next day, turn it on again…
Notes
- When you’ve finished heating the mixture, use a funnel and pour into container of your choice and use on fresh bread or for cooking as you see fit. Mixture can be recharged by adding more oil from time to time.
