Ingredients

  • 2 & 1/3 Cups of Flour

  • 1 TSP Baking Soda

  • 1 TSP Corn Starch

  • 1 Cup Brown Sugar

  • 1/2 Cup Granulated Sugar

  • 1 & 1/2 Cup Chocolate Chips

  • 3/4 Cup Melted Butter (Opaque, not boiling)

  • 1 Egg at Room Temperature

  • 1 Egg Yolk at Room Temperature

  • 1 TBSP Vanilla Extract

Directions

  • Cream the Butter and Sugars in a bowl
  • Whisk in the Eggs and Vanilla and mix till light and creamy
  • Mix your dry ingredients
  • Add wet to dry and mix well
  • Scoop out 1/4 cup of dough and roll into a ball, place on parchment-lined sheet.
  • Place in freezer for 15 minutes to firm up.
  • Pre-heat the oven to 325
  • Space out the cookies to have them 3″ apart
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes, when edges look golden but center appears under-cooked
  • Loot cool on a wire rack for 5 minutes minimum before diving in

Notes

  • We use Milk Chocolate Chips here, for a change. Kids love them.
  • These are big cookies.
  • I double the batch, because 12 cookies is never enough!
