1 can black beans (19 oz (2 cups))
1/4 cup Diced Onion (Sweet or Vidalia)
3 clove garlic (Fine)
1/2 cup Beer
Smoked Paprika (to taste)
cumin (to taste)
sea salt (to taste)
Fresh ground black pepper (to taste)
1 cup fresh cilantro (Chopped)
1 tablespoon bacon fat (or cook 2-3 slices bacon first)
2 tablespoon olive oil
1 dash Liquid Smoke
Rinse your Black beans
Heat large pan with Olive oil and bacon fat.
Add Onions, cook until they start to go translucent then add rinsed beans and garlic.
Keep heat high and stir frequently for 2-3 minutes.
Add spices and beer, stir and continue to cook on a high heat until it dries out a little and starts browning, add liquid smoke and stir, cook for 1 minute.
Remove to a bowl, add cilantro and mash with a spoon to your liking.
Great with Fajitas.
