Chili con queso

Ingredients: 

2 tablespoon Butter
2 clove garlic, minced
2 cup monteray jack cheese (or other Mexican-style cheese)
1 onion, small (minced)
1 cup tomato sauce
1/2 cup green chilies (diced)
tortilla chips
raw vegetables (assorted for dipping)

Instructions: 

1. Melt butter over medium heat in 4 quart saucepan. Add garlic and onion, stirring occasionally until onion is tender. Stir in tomato sauce and chilies, reduce heat to low.

2. Simmer mixture for 5 minutes. Gradually add cheeses, stirring until melted and smooth. Transfer mixture to fondue pot. Serve warm with chips and veggies. Serves 10.

Notes: 

A little hot sauce or some spices might be fun to experiment with.
